James Everett

James Everett is a Managing Partner with the Ecosystem Integrity Fund, where he authored the fund strategy; leads research, due diligence, and strategy development; and serves as chairman of the Investment Committee. He has been focused on environmental sustainability for over 30 years and has cultivated a sophisticated understanding of sustainability problems and strong pattern recognition with respect to workable solutions in green business. James is committed to the integration of economic and ecological sustainability, believing that green ideas have increased potential for scale and impact when they are directed toward practical solutions of business problems.

Devin Whatley

Devin Whatley is a Managing Partner at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund, where he leads deal structuring, negotiations, and fund operations, and works closely with the portfolio companies. He has been dedicated to environmental sustainability for close to 30 years and in particular the application of sustainability in technology and commerce. He believes that demonstrating business success in sustainability is not only possible, but also required in order to accelerate the society-wide shift to a clean and green existence.

Geoffrey Eisenberg

Geoffrey Eisenberg is a Partner at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund and has been a member of the EIF investment team since its inception. Geoff leads fundraising and investor relations for the firm. His responsibilities also include investment deal sourcing, sector research, and strategy development, with a particular focus on Transportation, Renewable Energy, Grid Modernization, and Green Chemistry. Geoff also works directly with EIF’s portfolio companies on strategy, capital raising, and business development. He serves as a board director for ZeroAvia, Shoreline, and Sunverge, and a board observer for Liminal. He is formerly a board member of AMP and T-Rex, and was a board observer at EV Connect and Complete Solar.

Sasha Brown

Sasha Brown is a Partner at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include investment due diligence, strategy development, process management, deal sourcing, and portfolio company support. She assists with system and sector analysis, firm operations, and financial structuring. Sasha serves as a board director at iyris, Claros Technologies, Ambient Photonics, Trashie, and Upflex.

Amanda Bamberger

Amanda Bamberger is a Vice President at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund where her responsibilities include deal due diligence, portfolio company support, and investment strategy development. Amanda comes to EIF with 10 years of experience in sustainability and impact analysis. Amanda uses a foundational understanding of physics and engineering to elucidate how companies can affect change in global development and environmental impact. Prior to EIF, Amanda was a Director with Factor[e] Ventures, an impact investor supporting de-carbonized solutions in energy, agriculture, waste, and mobility in emerging and frontier markets.

Brandon Blaesser

Brandon Blaesser is a Vice President at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. His responsibilities include sector research, pipeline development and tracking, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support. Before EIF, Brandon was an Associate at Kearney, a global management consulting firm. At Kearney, Brandon worked with a range of clients to address growth, supply chain, and cost optimization problems.

Andrea Bonse

Andrea Bonse is an Investor Relations Manager at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include investor relations support, communications, fundraising and marketing activities for the firm. Prior to joining EIF, Andrea spent over four years at Marlin Equity Partners where she focused on investor relations and marketing efforts.

Sabin Ray

Sabin Ray is an Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to joining EIF, Sabin was an Associate at the World Resources Institute, a global environmental research organization. At WRI, Sabin worked to scale nature-based solutions through the Natural Infrastructure Initiative and the Global Restoration Initiative.

Jessica Singh

Jessica Singh is an Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to joining EIF, Jessica worked for IFC, World Bank, enabling key infrastructure investments across Asia in waste management, water conservation, renewable energy, and logistics. Her notable projects include the ‘Namami Gange Program’ for conservation of river Ganges, and first-ever LNG regasification facility in Bangladesh.

Sachi Twine

Sachi Twine is an Senior Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to joining EIF, Sachi was a Research and Impact Associate with Global Partnerships, an impact investor based in Nairobi, Kenya. Sachi performed social impact underwriting and operational due diligence for the fund’s Sub-Saharan Africa portfolio, with a focus on opportunities in financial inclusion and companies supporting smallholder farmer agriculture.

Seth Udelson

Seth Udelson is an Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. His responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to joining EIF, Seth was an Investment Associate at SAFO Investment Company, a single-family office focused on sustainable investing across all asset classes. At the family office, Seth was responsible for investment due diligence and implementation, as well as macroeconomic positioning.

jackie valdez

Jackie Valdez is Head of Finance at EIF. Her responsibilities include helping manage the financial, compliance, HR, and administrative functions of the EIF funds and related entities. Jackie started her career in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been providing services to the alternative investment industry for nearly two decades. She has a diverse background including fund accounting and reporting, tax compliance, SEC compliance, HR, IT, and office administration for mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital funds.

JAMES EVERETT

James serves as a Director on the boards of Complete Solar, Pegasus Solar, Energicity, Ampersand, Vibrant Planet, and AgTech Holdings. He is a board observer at Upflex and Opti. He is formerly a board member of Zep Solar, Sunverge, Clean Fund, and Synchronet. He is also formerly a board observer at OneEnergy Renewables and T-Rex.

James has many years of experience in a range of areas related to natural resources and renewable energy, as well as very strong analytical and due diligence capabilities. Before co-founding the Ecosystem Integrity Fund, James was a partner at Aquillian Investments, was conservation finance manager for Pacific Forest Trust, and managed integrated conservation and development projects for the World Conservation Union (IUCN).

Previously, James worked in commercial finance with GATX Capital, where he conducted financial analysis and due diligence on investments in rail, air, marine, distributed power generation, telecommunications, and natural resources; worked in timberland investment and management with Wagner Forest Management; led a research and demonstration center for sustainable technologies; was co-director of a university recycling program; worked for a photovoltaic systems integrator on installation of some of the first grid-tied PV systems in the San Francisco Bay Area; and has run his own arboricultural consulting business.

He holds a Master of Forestry degree from Yale University and a BSc in Environmental Policy and Management from Humboldt State University, and completed the UC Berkeley Venture Capital Executive Program.

DEVIN WHATLEY

Devin serves as a director on the boards of Bluon, Synova Power, Complete Solaria, Flying Embers, ThinkIQ, Ride1Up, and Unagi. He is formerly a board member of EV Connect, KeVita, OneEnergy Renewables, Pegasus Solar, and Lumigrow, and was also a board observer at Zep Solar, CleanFund, and SynchroNet.

Devin’s background is as a sustainability-focused entrepreneur, with significant experience in operations, sales, and finance. He began his career in the film business, where he developed and honed his operations and cost-management skills as the producer of more than 50 large-budget commercials and music videos. During this time, he nurtured a growing fascination with environmental sustainability and became a passionate student of green business. Looking for a way to use his diverse skill set as a “triple-bottom-line” entrepreneur, in 2000 Devin launched a gourmet, organic home delivery and packaged food business that catered to the Hollywood elite. From an initial $10,000 investment, Devin rapidly grew the firm, before merging it with a larger natural food manufacturer in the region. Subsequently, Devin was the general manager of a start-up organic winery that he grew to profitability and developed and ran a successful luxury yoga retreat business near Santa Barbara.

After a brief stint at his family’s award- winning mutual fund company, where he worked with the investment team and institutional sales group, Devin became a partner at Aquillian Investments and subsequently co-founded the Ecosystem Integrity Fund.

Devin has an MBA from Wharton and is a CFA Charterholder. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA’s Honors Division, where he was both an Alumni Scholar and Regents’ Scholar, earning a degree in East Asian Studies with a Business Emphasis. Away from the office, Devin can be found in the pool with his local Masters swim team, riding his Peloton bike, coaching his two kids’ sports teams, or experiencing the great outdoors with his wife and family.

GEOFFREY EISENBERG

Prior to joining EIF, Geoff worked as a Senior Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates, a global institutional investment consulting firm. While at Cambridge, he provided investment counsel to institutional, pension, and ultra high net-worth clients.
Geoff also conducted due diligence on investment managers and helped clients build diversified and sophisticated portfolios across asset classes. He initiated the firm’s 2007 white paper on cleantech investing for institutional clients and conducted extensive research on the cleantech industry, including company and venture capital/private equity fund analysis.

In addition to his role at EIF, Geoff is a mentor for the Hawaii Energy Excelerator, helping clean energy start-ups scale. Geoff sits on the Leadership Council for Vote Solar, and he serves as a Director of the Forsythia Foundation, a non-profit focused on the commercialization of safer green chemistry replacements for toxic chemicals in our products and environment.

Geoff holds a BA in History and Philosophy from Bates College in Lewiston, ME.

SASHA BROWN

Prior to joining EIF, Sasha was a Principal at NewWorld Capital Group, where she co-led investments of more than $100M into growth-oriented companies in residential solar, diesel pollution reduction, and power electronics.
In her role, she focused on origination, diligence, closing, portfolio management, board activities, and fundraising. Her deals included SolarEdge Technologies, which had a successful IPO in 2015, and Astrum Solar, which was sold to Direct Energy.
Drawing on her industry background, Sasha has developed specialized expertise with respect to residential solar, the built environment, HVAC, and environmental consulting and engineering. She also led the establishment of the firm’s institutional practices for growth investments and processes for continual improvement.

Before joining NewWorld, Sasha worked in J.P. Morgan’s Natural Resources Group, and previously for Environmental Capital Partners, a private equity firm investing in middle market companies in the environmental industry. Prior to Environmental Capital Partners, Sasha worked at Atelier Ten, an environmental design firm providing consulting services to the building industry. At Atelier Ten, she focused on building energy models to optimize the energy cost and consumption patterns of buildings. She also worked on general environmental design consulting, including systems performance analysis, benchmarking, and strategic sustainability planning.

Sasha received a BSc in Environmental Engineering from Yale University and holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management. While at Yale, she Co-Chaired the university’s Private Equity Conference and completed a research thesis evaluating sustainability metric systems for the built environment.

AMANDA BAMBERGER

With Factor[e] Ventures, Amanda was responsible for investment due diligence, portfolio support, investment thesis development, process management, and research on special topics including income-generating appliances, electric vehicles (2-wheelers and buses), and renewable microgrid technologies. For this work, Amanda spent meaningful time in India and East Africa including Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania to understand the end-customer and startup landscape. She also managed an intra-portfolio merger, and advanced internally incubated companies targeting the water and sanitation sector.

Amanda also completed a secondment with a software company delivering a mobile and offline-first Computerized Maintenance Management Solution serving global critical infrastructure operators. As a product manager, Amanda gained experience managing customers and software developers to deliver the first enterprise-grade version of the maintenance platform.

Prior to Factor[e], Amanda worked for Environmental Resources Management, a multi-national environmental consulting firm helping large companies meet regulatory compliance and voluntary sustainability targets. With ERM, Amanda conducted third-party assurance of EHS performance data, sustainability data collection and organization, and impact assessment including remote field work in Nicaragua to gather primary data in support of a social and economic impact assessment for a capital project.

Amanda holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Engineering (Mechatronics), and a Master of Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University. She spent several months in rural Nicaragua for her graduate thesis project, which was a sustainable solar headlamp for roving mobile medical attendees.

Brandon Blaesser

Before EIF, Brandon was an Associate at Kearney, a global management consulting firm. At Kearney, Brandon worked with a range of clients to address growth, supply chain, and cost optimization problems. Notable projects included an EPA consent decree and pre-merger strategy for a multi-billion-dollar telecom transaction. In addition, Brandon researched and co-wrote the firm’s annual Reshoring Index, which tracks manufacturing production trends between low-cost Asian producers and domestic, American production. This effort included developing supply-chain strategies for U.S. manufacturing clients.

Prior to joining Kearney, Brandon was an Analyst at NewWorld Capital Group, where he worked on investments in growth-oriented companies in residential solar, energy efficiency, power electronics, and water infrastructure. In his role, Brandon focused on research, investment due diligence, and fundraising. He subsequently worked at The Alberleen Group, an investment and financial advisory firm with expertise in impact investing.

Brandon sits on the Yale Club’s house committee and consults in a volunteer capacity for The Nature Conservancy’s Chief Strategy Office. He received a BA in Economics and a BA in Environmental Studies from Yale University. He also holds a LEED AP BD+C accreditation. At Yale, Brandon wrote his senior economics thesis on the disproportionate allocation of residential solar subsidies in Connecticut.

Andrea Bonse

Prior to joining EIF, Andrea spent over four years at Marlin Equity Partners where she focused on investor relations and marketing efforts. She managed a number of cross-functional initiatives to execute the firm’s LP communications, annual meeting, portfolio specific events, as well as employee and community efforts. Prior to Marlin, Andrea worked at Canyon Partners as a research assistant supporting one of the co-founders. Andrea received a BS in International Business from the University of San Francisco, where she also competed on the NCAA Division 1 women’s tennis team.

SABIN RAY

Sabin Ray is an Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Her responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support.

Prior to joining EIF, Sabin was an Associate at the World Resources Institute, a global environmental research organization. At WRI, Sabin worked to scale nature-based solutions through the Natural Infrastructure Initiative and the Global Restoration Initiative. Her notable projects included leading the creation of sustainable forestry investment strategies with the Global Impact Investing Network, developing the first global guidelines for measuring restoration progress with the United Nations, and advising government leaders in the United States, Latin America, Africa, and Asia on their land-use strategies.

She received her MBA from UC Berkley Haas with a certificate in sustainable finance. During her MBA, she helped urban forestry marketplace Cambium Carbon raise its Pre-Seed round; worked with Provenance Capital Group to assess regenerative food, forestry, and fiber funds; and designed a financial model for regenerative ocean farming. She was a Student Venture Partner for the Haas Impact Fund and the Sustainable Investment Fund, as well as a Student Advisory Board member for the Haas Sustainable and Impact Finance initiative and the Center for Responsible Business.

Sabin graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a BA in International Relations. She speaks French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Jessica Singh

Prior to joining EIF, Jessica worked for IFC, World Bank, enabling key infrastructure investments across Asia in waste management, water conservation, renewable energy, and logistics. Her notable projects include the 'Namami Gange Program’ for conservation of river Ganges, and first-ever LNG regasification facility in Bangladesh. In addition, she oversaw a portfolio of $600M+ and 3.4 GW of renewable energy assets. Before IFC, she spent three years working in the Investment Banking division at Deloitte India, managing M&A transactions and fund-raising processes in the CPG industry.

Jessica received her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, with a focus on Sustainability and Finance Track, and is a CFA® charterholder, 2017–2023. She is interested in the role of finance in addressing the world’s most urgent sustainability challenges. During her time at Sloan, she led the Water Innovation Program, a $35k accelerator program for water technology startups and a content lead for the MIT Sustainability Summit.

Sachi Twine

Prior to joining EIF, Sachi was a Research and Impact Associate with Global Partnerships, an impact investor based in Kenya. Sachi performed social impact underwriting and operational due diligence for the fund’s Sub-Saharan Africa portfolio, with a focus on opportunities in financial inclusion and companies supporting smallholder farmer agriculture. In addition, she developed new Productive Asset Finance and Home Improvement Finance investment areas through literature reviews, case studies, and regional market scoping.

Before Global Partnerships, Sachi worked as a Market Intel & Strategy Analyst at Vestas, the largest global wind turbine manufacturer. At Vestas, she conducted policy and regulatory analysis to provide inputs to Vestas global market forecasts, coordinated Vestas’ annual strategic planning process, conducted customer and competitor research, and analyzed wind project maturity and competitiveness to support prioritization of the sales pipeline.

Sachi received a BA in Environmental Studies from Yale University, with a concentration in Energy Studies, and holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Seth Udelson

Seth Udelson is an Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. His responsibilities include sector research, deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio company support.
Prior to joining EIF, Seth was an Investment Associate at SAFO Investment Company, a single-family office focused on sustainable investing across all asset classes. At the family office, Seth was responsible for investment due diligence and implementation, as well as macroeconomic positioning. Seth was an MBA Associate on the Impact Engine, Sandbox Sustainability Ventures, and Builders Vision investment teams.

Seth is a CFA Charterholder and received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Economics. Alongside the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, he helped to develop the student-led Steven Tarrson Impact Investment Fund and served as its first Managing Partner. He also led the Net Impact and Booth Impact Investing Groups on campus.

Seth graduated from Swarthmore College with a BA, double majoring in Economics and Political Science.

Jackie Valdez

Jackie Valdez is Head of Finance at EIF. Her responsibilities include helping manage the financial, compliance, HR, and administrative functions of the EIF funds and related entities.

Jackie started her career in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been providing services to the alternative investment industry for nearly two decades. She has a diverse background including fund accounting and reporting, tax compliance, SEC compliance, HR, IT, and office administration for mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital funds.

For the last six years she has served as a consultant to numerous venture capital clients at Greenough Consulting Group, which was acquired by the Apex Group in 2021. Prior to joining the Apex Group Jackie was Controller and Chief Compliance Officer for Bay Hills Capital. She has also previously served as Controller for two other private equity firms, Health Evolution Partners and Parthenon Capital Partners.

Jackie received a BS in Business Administration from California State University, East Bay and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
